John Parry and Steinar Gustavsen founded High Sea Kayaks in 2009, after many years of building and paddling strip built kayaks.   The idea was simple; to demystify the dark art of strip building so that everyone, regardless of their boatbuilding experience, could enjoy it.

"North Sea" - drawings and form templates for an   ocean going touring kayak

High Sea Kayaks’ North Sea is a stable and comfortable ocean going and touring kayak that is capable of weathering rough seas with ease, or is equally at home on rivers and lakes.   Despite its size and exceptional stability, this kayak is still capable of a good speed and manoeuvrability. It has a high load capacity which makes it ideal for carrying camping and sporting equipment. This design is the culmination of over a decade of development.

"Harpoon" - drawings and form templates for a
  fast, light kayak

High Sea Kayaks’ Harpoon is a light, fast and highly manoeuvrable craft that still maintains excellent stability and a surprisingly high load carrying capacity.   It is large and stable, yet can be carried easily by one person, making it ideal for smaller waterways where portaging (lifting) is necessary.   This is the perfect kayak for inland waterways, from rivers to large lakes, as it is a highly capable, strong and safe craft that manages to perfectly encapsulate the freedom that comes with paddling a kayak.
